Bale Trail Across Todd County 2017

Bale Trail Logo SMThe Todd County Community Alliance is once again sponsoring the annual “Bale Trail” across Todd County starting September 18th. The Alliance encourages you to “Explore Todd County” and the Bale Trail is a great way to start your journey.

So what is the “Bale Trail”? Participants around Todd County will use hay and hay bales to create elaborate displays near the roadway for everyone to see.  If you would like to participate, you can download and print an entry form at

All displays must be completed by September 11th, when soon after a map of all the hay bale display locations will be posted at the website. You can drive to each display as you wander through the rural landscape of Todd County. If you need a place to stop and eat or shop along the way, you can also visit for a list of local businesses, eateries, or other things to do along the way. Participants are encouraged to keep the displays up until October 31st.

The Alliance is sponsoring two awards for participants in the Bale Trail. Most Creative Display will be awarded by a group of judges to the most imaginative display. With the winner receiving cash prize of $250! The Fan Favorite Display will be voted on by fans who “like” the official picture of their favorite display at the Explore Todd County, Kentucky Facebook page. The display with the most “likes” will win the award of $100. Both awards will be announced on our Facebook Page during Elkton’s HarvestFest on Saturday, October 7th.
